it's your fonts directory, if it had 1000 fonts in it thats how much of your computer would slow down by.

SHOCKER - Norton, Yahoo and AOL are all in the top 5. First things I bin.
VMWare will slow it down as it is a virtual machine and will hog CPU memory as that is what it is designed to do, it doesn't count.

To be completely honest here it doesn't surprise me with the top 10 on the list, although if your good with computers etc it wouldn't take long to completely sort it out (i.e the processes) which also slows your computer down..... plus if you've got a lot starting up when you first load windows that doesn't help at all....
If you want me to i'll put something together to show you how to do this.

If you want to make your computer faster I can recomend this site www.BlackViper.com it gives you the info you need to shut down services in vista, xp, etc. It even telly you what they all do. If you do all the things it recomends it can double the speed of your system.
